Costs and Financial Aid

Details on the estimated cost of attendance can be found on the Financial Aid Web site, which also includes information on the University’s Satisfactory Academic Progress policy, and other financial aid policies, procedures, and publications.

In-state tuition and fees for the combined academic year 2006-07 are $8,039.50 (new undergraduate student with 15 credit hours per semester). Academic year 2005-06 new undergraduate students in state tuition and fees are $7,091. 2004-05 new undergraduates will pay $6,328 . 

Illinois Public Act 93-0228 guarantees that fall 2006 new undergraduates will continue to pay this rate through summer 2010. Fall 2005 new undergraduates will continue to pay this rate through summer 2009 and fall 2004 new undergraduates will continue to pay this rate through summer 2008. To further enhance access and affordability, approximately 74 percent of all students who attended Illinois State University during 2004 received financial assistance through loans, scholarships, tuition waivers, grants and/or employment.
